The red battle flag, with its blue St. Andrew's cross and 12 or 13 white stars, were the regimental colors after September 1861, and carried by a color sargeant.

Union Infantry Color Sargeant, 1861-1865
Order Code : C-163
The blue coated sergeant carries the large Old Glory, the national color. A large regimental flag was also carried on the left of the stars and stripes and both were courageously guarded against capture. A full painting guide PLUS coloring information for the regimental flag is also included.
