We announce, with extreme sadness, the passing of Bill Imrie on May 5, 2008. Bill, 77, had been in declining health for the last few years. He was the founder of Imrie/Risley Miniatures (over 50 years ago) and was an American pioneer in the miniature soldier business. He was a true historian, scholar, soldier, gentleman...and a gentle man. He will be missed. He is survived by his wife (and partner) of 55 years, Helen,two daughters and a grandson. Helen will continue with the business as she has for many years!

When you next visit the Saratoga Springs area, please stop by and visit our retail store, The Saratoga Soldier Shop, on Route 67 in Ballston Spa, New York at the Curtis Industrial Park. Imrie Risley is best known for our extensive line of museum quality military miniatures, which are sold as unpainted metal model kits. Each kit comes with painting instructions and advice. All photos show kits assembled and painted.
